WCHS Electronic Use Policy

It is expected that all wildcats are cooperative.

What is an Electronic Device?

Cell Phone
Tablet or Ipad
Smartwatches
Headphones and or Earbuds
Web Enabled Devices of any kind

Expectations:

Students who bring electronic devices to school must ensure that they remain on silent mode and completely out of view for the entire school day except for the student’s lunch period or as expressly authorized by the classroom teacher for a specific instructional activity.

Electronic devices may only be used when a teacher directed and monitored activity is occurring in the class.

The use of electronic devices that contain built-in cameras (I.E. devices that take still or motion pictures, whether in a digital or other format) is prohibited in locker rooms, shower facilities and restrooms.

Students will not be permitted to take their electronic device with them when leaving the classroom during instructional time for bathroom breaks.

Students are expected to follow these expectations. Students in violation will have their device confiscated. Refusal to surrender a device will result in a discipline referral.

Violations:

  • 1st violation: Student may pick up the device at the end of the day in the front office.
    2nd Violation: Student may pick up the device at the end of the day in the front office.
    3rd Violation: Parent must pick up the device.
    • Electronic device must be picked up no later than 3:00 pm in the front office
